Counseling is a collaborative effort. We work together with you individually to create a tailored plan to address your needs, great or small, that keep you from fully engaging the life you want. Whether you’re dealing with life stressors, relational challenges, depression, anxiety, trauma…etc., we work to create a supportive and safe environment for you to process the challenges you are facing.
First we start with a brief 15 minute complimentary phone consultation to discuss what you're looking for, questions you have, fees, and best therapist that will fit for you. Then you’ll connect with your therapist to schedule your first session. Before we meet, you’ll fill out paperwork and an intake form that will help us get started. Your first session will be for connecting more with your therapist to make sure it’s a good fit for you. It will also be for learning more about your history and targeting goals for treatment.
Therapy can be short-term or long-term, it greatly depends on the issues we are working to heal. If they are single-incident events, we can often address those in 8 to 10 sessions using EMDR. If long-term we usually recommend a year or more, but we continue to check in to evaluate your progress to assess your readiness to complete treatment.
